APT Golf
(Version 1.24)
Golf Score Tracking, Handicaps, and Statistics
A simple, easy to use way to keep track of golf scores and other statistical information that can help improve your game. You can track as many golfers as you like, keeping handicaps and statistics for each. Enter scores and let APT Golf calculate handicaps, average score, number of putts, greens in regulation, and fairways hit. Keep track of as much or as little information as you want. Enter scores by hole, or just enter the total score for a round (some statistics require you enter information by hole). See statistics averaged per round, or broken down by par 3, par 4, and par 5 holes. You can even get statistics about a single hole on a specific course.
Note - APT Golf only calculates handicaps for 18 hole rounds. It will not calculate 9 hole handicaps.

Purchase ($39.00)How many golfers can I track with APT Golf?
APT Golf has no limit on the number of golfers you can track. Handicaps and statistics are kept for each golfer being tracked.
Is the handicap an official USGA handicap?
No. While USGA rules are used to calculate the handicap, there are further controls required when entering rounds before handicaps can be official.
Can I enter 9 hole rounds?
No. Handicaps can only be calculated on 18 hole rounds.
Do I have to enter course information for my course before I can record a round?
Yes. Before you can enter a round played on a course, information about the course (i.e. rating, slope, per hole yardage and pars) must be in the APT Golf primary course database. However, you only have to enter information about a course one time and it will be available for any future rounds you (or any other golfer) play on that course.
There is also a Master Course database that contains most of the courses in the U.S.. If the course you want to add to APT Golf exists in the master database, you can copy it from there rather than enter it manually. New courses are being added to this database constantly and we periodically put a new version on our update web site. APT Golf has an option to check for these updates and download a new Master Course database.
I want to enter only my total score when entering my rounds, will APT Golf still calculate a handicap for me?
Yes. APT Golf will calculate you handicap and the average score for all of your rounds. However, other statistics such as fairways hit and greens in regulation cannot be kept because they require information that is entered on a per hole basis.
I want to enter my scores for each hole, but I don't keep track of everything APT Golf wants. Is that OK?
Yes. When entering your scores per hole, the only required information is the number of strokes on a hole. Although APT Golf's intelligent data entry makes it easy to enter most of the additional information, everything but the score is optional. Realize, however, that the more information you enter, the more robust your statistics will be. Most golfers find that analyzing information such as greeens hit in regulation, fairways hit with their drive, and number of putts per hole allow them to recognize areas of their game that need improvement. Often a golfer's score improves simply by recognizing the parts of their game that are causing higher scores.
What if I want to keep track of a league where we want the handicaps start over each year?
APT Golf has an option to delete all rounds entered in a particular calendar year. While USGA rules do not limit handicap calculation only to rounds played in the current year, leagues frequently have this requirement.
Our league runs for only 15 weeks and the USGA handicapping rules would only use a few of these to calculate a handicap. Can I change this?
Yes. While the default is to use USGA rules when selecting the rounds used for calculating handicaps, you can change this to use all or half of the rounds played.
